East + Up

I started working for a small Savannah boutique…

The owner of the clothing brand called Mamie Ruth came to me one day explaining how she wanted to set up a new store downtown. The store would be a vintage clothing store where she sells handpicked pieces, including her own collection that inspired her own designs for Mamie Ruth.

I had gotten to know her style and brand over the couple of months I had worked for her, and started brewing up some ideas.

The ask was to create everything from her logo, to business cards, and overall branding.

Here is what I made.

I started with the logo. Inspired by vintage wallpaper
and boomboxes I worked with warm colors and
sunshine rainbows.

The logo was a perfect fit with the stores style,
so I proposed I create a handmade sign for
outside by the entrance.

I hand burnt and painted the wood, and finished
it with a varnish.

I designed their business cards and created a seamless decorative background for the backside of the card which would then be used for other printed elements within the store.

Email Blasts

Since we already had a large following from the original store, we shared our new vintage location’s grand opening with our email list. I created two email blasts to keep our shoppers in the loop of upcoming events and what to expect to see at our opening.

Clothing Tags

I designed these tags that will be attached to the clothes, leaving room on the back for price and other details.

Sale Cards

These flyers were created to track which of our customers go to the new store. Savannah is a major tourist destination, so when people are in town for short times, and they don’t know about our new store, we can offer them a welcome gift of 15% off, and see if they stopped by our other store! It was a great way to get the word out.

First Photoshoot

I had to get my hands on the first shoot being done while the store was still under construction, here are the results:
